{"id":771,"date":"2019-08-14T22:11:09","date_gmt":"2019-08-14T22:11:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.waterforpeople.org\/?p=771"},"modified":"2019-08-14T22:11:09","modified_gmt":"2019-08-14T22:11:09","slug":"the-equation-for-better-hygiene","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada.waterforpeople.org\/fr\/the-equation-for-better-hygiene\/","title":{"rendered":"L&#039;\u00e9quation pour une meilleure hygi\u00e8ne"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Combinez du bicarbonate de soude, de l&#039;huile et de l&#039;extrait d&#039;un arbre local du Malawi, et cela \u00e9quivaut \u00e0 une meilleure hygi\u00e8ne pour toute une communaut\u00e9.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ce sont les ingr\u00e9dients du savon, et cette formule simple a chang\u00e9 la vie de 160 familles du village de Mvula dans le district de Chikwawa, au Malawi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&quot;Nous avons vu que bien que les familles aient construit des latrines, beaucoup d&#039;entre elles n&#039;avaient pas de savon pour le lavage des mains et l&#039;hygi\u00e8ne personnelle&quot;, explique Elina Banda, membre du comit\u00e9 de fabrication du savon du village. &quot;Cela \u00e9tait principalement d\u00fb au co\u00fbt \u00e9lev\u00e9 de l&#039;acheminement des savons d&#039;autres villes. Ce manque de savon signifiait que nous souffrions encore de certaines maladies d&#039;origine hydrique.&quot;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Water For People et les responsables de la sant\u00e9 du district ont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 l&#039;id\u00e9e de la fabrication de savon \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 d&#039;Elina, et ils sont venus former un comit\u00e9 de 10 personnes sur la fabrication du savon.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&quot;Nous \u00e9tions enthousiasm\u00e9s par l&#039;id\u00e9e d&#039;un comit\u00e9 de fabrication de savon, car cela am\u00e9liorerait l&#039;hygi\u00e8ne et permettrait de trouver du savon localement \u00e0 un prix moins cher&quot;, explique Elina. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignleft is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.waterforpeople.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Elina-washing-clothes-using-locally-made-soap-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-773\" width=\"371\" height=\"247\" srcset=\"https:\/\/canada.waterforpeople.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2019\/08\/Elina-washing-clothes-using-locally-made-soap-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/canada.waterforpeople.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2019\/08\/Elina-washing-clothes-using-locally-made-soap-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/canada.waterforpeople.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2019\/08\/Elina-washing-clothes-using-locally-made-soap-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/canada.waterforpeople.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2019\/08\/Elina-washing-clothes-using-locally-made-soap-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/canada.waterforpeople.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2019\/08\/Elina-washing-clothes-using-locally-made-soap-16x12.jpg 16w, https:\/\/canada.waterforpeople.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2019\/08\/Elina-washing-clothes-using-locally-made-soap.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 371px) 100vw, 371px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elina fait partie du comit\u00e9 depuis un an et elle aide \u00e0 produire le savon et \u00e0 le promouvoir aupr\u00e8s des familles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&quot;Nous m\u00e9langeons la soude, l&#039;huile et les fluides de l&#039;arbre de Neem que nous extrayons des feuilles d&#039;arbre pil\u00e9es&quot;, partage Elina. &quot;Les arbres de neem poussent partout ici, et l&#039;extrait ajoute des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s antibact\u00e9riennes au savon. Ensuite, nous faisons bouillir le m\u00e9lange lentement jusqu&#039;\u00e0 ce qu&#039;il durcisse.&quot;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le savon durcit apr\u00e8s une semaine de s\u00e9chage, puis il est coup\u00e9 en morceaux et vendu $0,13 par pastille. Le comit\u00e9 commercialise le savon en allant de maison en maison pour parler aux familles. Ils en font \u00e9galement la promotion lors de r\u00e9unions communautaires, o\u00f9 ils organisent des d\u00e9monstrations pour montrer aux familles l&#039;efficacit\u00e9 du savon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&quot;Les membres de la communaut\u00e9 aiment ce savon car il est facilement disponible et bon march\u00e9&quot;, explique Elina. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elina et les autres membres du comit\u00e9 de fabrication du savon veulent continuer \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer leur produit. Ils am\u00e9liorent constamment la qualit\u00e9 du savon et leur promotion du savon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&quot;Nous voulons que notre savon soit le choix num\u00e9ro un de nos clients potentiels et puisse atteindre d&#039;autres villages&quot;, d\u00e9clare Elina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La fabrication du savon a eu un impact au-del\u00e0 de l&#039;am\u00e9lioration de l&#039;hygi\u00e8ne, car le comit\u00e9 prend les b\u00e9n\u00e9fices de la vente du savon et les utilise comme capital d&#039;emprunt. Les membres du comit\u00e9 peuvent contracter de petits pr\u00eats \u00e0 partir de ce pool de b\u00e9n\u00e9fices et utiliser leur pr\u00eat pour apporter des am\u00e9liorations \u00e0 leur maison ou \u00e0 leur entreprise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elina a trois enfants, et elle dit que le fait d&#039;avoir de l&#039;eau potable, une salle de bain am\u00e9lior\u00e9e et maintenant du savon facilement disponible dans sa communaut\u00e9 a rendu la vie tellement plus facile pour sa famille. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&quot;Quand je grandissais, obtenir de l&#039;eau potable \u00e9tait un d\u00e9fi&quot;, partage-t-elle. &quot;Nous devions parcourir de longues distances \u00e0 pied. En tant que petite fille, je manquais souvent des cours \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9cole.
