WATER FOR PEOPLE CANADA
Water For People was born out of the American Water Works Association (AWWA), the largest nonprofit, scientific, and educational association dedicated to managing and treating water. Canadian water industry professionals established Water For People Canada as a partner entity in 1995 to support and promote the mission of Water For People in Canada among the public and the water community.
Water For People Canada takes pride in our focus on sustainability. All work is designed to encourage capacity-building and long-term sustainability by the communities themselves.

Our Mission
Water For People exists to promote the development of high-quality drinking water and sanitation services, accessible to all, and sustained by strong communities, businesses, and governments.
Our Impact
Water For People Canada currently dedicates its fundraising to several different programs both in Canada and globally. In 2025 WFP-C has partnered with Community Circle to support Reseau Norway House Cree Nation in northern Manitoba. This is the first Canadian project we're funding, with many more to come. There are many remaining challenges in our own backyard that need our attention and your help.
While we have turned our focus to Canada, we also continue to support Water for People Global projects for communities in Bolivia, Peru, Guatemala , and Honduras.
